For today's post, we have Yael Naim - New Soul. I heard this little jig late one night while watching MTV (which seems to be the only time to catch music videos in their entirety on "Music" Television these days) and was just immediately hooked. From the nice, soft, uplifting piano tune to her light and soothing voice, the entire song is just one of those feel-good stress-relievers take-a-minute-to-chill-out songs.

Up next is two songs (my favorite two) from Shinichi Osawa. I don't know what to say, he creates good electronic music (though it sounds a tad bit more "techno" or even "house") with the proper usage of vocals, extremely proper usage. Y'know how most songs I listen to for the music? His are for the vocals. The first song is an example of a softer song, with "You should feel what I feel./You should take what I take." constantly being said, it's just mesmerizing. The second is a little dirtier, a little grittier, and a little bit harder.

And finally, we have Louis La Roche who I discovered through a weird series of events which led me to his myspace (http://www.myspace.com/louislaroche) where I swear, he had less than 200 views at the time. Now he has over forty-thousand, props to him. Anyways, his early career began with talk being said that this new artist was actually Thomas Bangalter, or one half of the spectacular group Daft Punk, which generated a lot of buzz in the blogs and such. His first single, "Love" sounds just like something Bangalter would put out, a sample that is used to it's absolute best. The rest of his songs are in the same light, just a deliciously good sample, used ridiculously well.

(Samples Michael Jackson - It's the Falling in Love)
Louis La Roche - Do You Remember
(Samples Take That - Relight My Fire)

(Samples Gene Chandler - Get Down)
And if you dig his stuff, you can download his EP "Peach" here: http://www2.zippyshare.com/v/13499470/file.html free of charge, legitimately.
